The Czech volunteer initiative Darek pro Putina ("A Gift for Putin") on Tuesday launched a fundraiser for the Ukrainian ballistic missile "Flamingo."
This was reported on the initiative’s website.
Darek pro Putina said it contacted the company Fire Point, which developed the "Flamingo," and the company calculated the cost of one missile (12.5 million Czech crowns, or almost $600,000) and allowed it to be purchased.
The missile will be bought through the crowdfunding campaign is to be named DANA 1 in honor of Dana Drabová — a Czech politician and physicist who died in early October.
"After payment, the missile will be handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will decide when to use it and will select the target. Perhaps soon we will learn where it reached," the statement said.
