The leadership of the western grouping of the RF Armed Forces has been removed from command.
In response to new defeats at the front, the Russian leadership again changed the command of the western grouping of the RF Armed Forces.
It is reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
"The leadership of the western grouping of the RF Armed Forces has been removed from command. The reason for this decision is the crushing defeats received as a result of the offensive of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," the message says.
Lieutenant General Alexander Lapin, who led the Center troops and his headquarters, was placed in command of the western grouping.
The operational staff of the "Center" moved from Lugansk to the command post of the western group.
âToday, a personnel decision regarding the further service of Lieutenant General Roman Berdnikov is under consideration. He was appointed to the post of commander of the Western Military District on August 26, 2022, where he replaced Lieutenant General Sichevoi (he was in office for three weeks)," the intelligence officers inform.
