Russia is being forced to increase payments to "volunteers" due to a severe shortage of recruits. According to Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate, the Kremlin is trying to compensate for its losses with financial incentives.

This was reported by Main Intelligence Directorate on Telegram.

Russian authorities continue to ramp up financial incentives to recruit contract soldiers for the war against Ukraine.

According to Main Intelligence Directorate, in several regions, signing bonuses for first-time contracts have exceeded 2 million rubles, while in the Samara region, this amount has reached nearly 4 million rubles.

The primary target audience for these "volunteers" consists of people in difficult financial situations and radicalized youth who are easily influenced by propaganda.

Despite substantial financial bonuses, the Kremlin is facing increasing difficulties in replenishing its military units.

Main Intelligence Directorate notes that the regular increase in payments highlights the critical shortage of volunteers.

"The authorities of the aggressor state are finding it increasingly difficult to recruit enough willing fighters, even for significant sums of money," the statement said.
