Andriy Chernyak, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, shared this information in a commentary with Ukrinform. He said: “We see that they are actively preparing for defense. They are creating a defensive zone both on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region and on the administrative border with Crimea, in the north of the peninsula. In particular, they are building two positional areas in the northern part of the Dzhankoy district For them this is very important because, as a result of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian forces, the north of Crimea will be the zone of destruction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

Chernyak also touched upon the flight of collaborators from the territory of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. According to the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, the traitors are trying to leave not for Crimea, but for the Russian Federation.

“Even they understand that one way or another, Crimea will be lost for Russia and will return to Ukraine,” Chernyak stressed.
