This was announced by Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, on the air of the national telethon.

In particular, the head of Ukraine's military intelligence confirmed that the Russian occupation forces are deploying a group on the island, consisting of air defense units and units armed with jet artillery. In addition, the island has a boat group and special forces.

The operation is ongoing. Fire damage is inflicted on these objects. The operation will continue until the complete liberation of Snake (Zmiiny) Island

Earlier, Budanov has already stated that the fight for Snake Island will continue to the end, because control over the island allows protection of the airspace over southern Ukraine.
