The Russians staged a demonstrative execution of a Ukrainian soldier for the words "Glory to Ukraine" to deliberately intimidate Ukrainians.
Andrey Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, said on the air of a nationwide telethon that the execution of an unarmed prisoner is one of the manifestations of the genocidal war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
“They executed a prisoner of war who was unarmed and under the protection of the Geneva Conventions. This is another illustration that we are dealing with. In fact, he was killed after the slogan “Glory to Ukraine.†This is another manifestation of precisely the genocidal war and the policy of genocide of the aggressor - Russia," Yusov said.
He said the execution was deliberately recorded on video and made public. In such a cynical way, the invaders are trying to intimidate the Ukrainians.
"These are acts of genocide that the occupiers are not ashamed of. But as in all other cases - either the so-called blitzkrieg or missile strikes - these only unite Ukrainians," Yusov added.
The representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted that the invaders involved in the execution were already being sought. This is a matter of honor for Ukraine.
