During a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the commander of the Kostroma regiment of the Airborne Forces, Colonel Sergei Sukharev, was destroyed.
This was reported by local media, according to which, in addition to Sukharev, four more servicemen from the Kostroma region were killed during the war in Ukraine - senior sergeant Sergei Lebedev, sergeant Alexander Limonov, corporal Yuri Degtyarev and captain Alexei Nikitin.
It should be noted that in 2014, Sergei Sukharev led the BTG of the 331st regiment, which shot down columns of Ukrainian servicemen near Ilovaisk.
