Last Week, 718 combat clashes occurred, with the most attacks repelled in the Pokrovsk direction.
This was reported by Andriy Kovalov, spokesperson for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in a television broadcast.
"Overall, last week, 718 combat clashes took place. The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts on the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivsk, Toretsk, and Kursk directions, where heavy battles are ongoing. The enemy is suffering significant losses in personnel, weapons, and military equipment," Kovalov said.
In particular, in the Pokrovsk direction, last week, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 190 attacks. The Russian forces focused their efforts near the settlements of Berezivka, Myrne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, and others.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russian troops in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynopil, Novopil, Novodarivka, Skudne, and Burlatske, where the Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 89 times.
In the Toretsk direction, last week the Russians launched 79 attacks — near Toretsk, Krymske, and in the direction of Deliivka.
Kovalov noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces operation in the Kursk direction continues. There, last week, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 109 Russian attacks. The Russian forces carried out 160 airstrikes last week, dropping 441 guided aerial bombs on Kursk.
The spokesperson for the General Staff also reported that last week the total Russian losses amounted to 7,890 Russians killed and wounded.
Additionally, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 73 tanks, 102 armored combat vehicles, 339 artillery systems, seven multiple launch rocket systems, nine air defense systems, 1,166 operational-tactical drones, 858 vehicles, and seven units of special equipment from the Russian forces.
