In recent days, Russian forces have intensified attempts to enter Pokrovsk using light vehicles via the southern outskirts. Currently, more than 300 Russian forces are present in the city.
According to the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, the Russian forces exploited adverse weather conditions, including dense fog, which reduces the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ ability to conduct aerial reconnaissance and strike in open areas.
The Russian forces’ objective remains unchanged — to reach the northern boundaries of Pokrovsk with the aim of encircling the urban area.
Even in low-visibility conditions, Ukrainian forces continue to detect and eliminate Russian forces in the city. Since the beginning of November, 162 Russian forces have been neutralized in Pokrovsk, with another 39 wounded.
Various branches of the Defense Forces are involved in clearing the city, including unmanned systems units, assault and air assault troops, special operations forces, the National Guard, National Police, and the Security Service of Ukraine.
