The regrouping of Russian forces is still ongoing, but Ukrainian troops are aware of it and are trying to act preemptively.
This was stated on television by Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, in response to a question about whether Russian activity is already being felt on the front line.
According to him, the regrouping process is not as fast as it used to be — it’s rather complicated, because both Ukrainian forces and the Russians are trying to create a "dead zone" between the line of contact and their rear areas, making it difficult to bring in reserves and reinforcements.
"Right now, they are bringing personnel to forward positions from which they begin their assault operations. This is also quite difficult and takes time. That’s why the regrouping is still ongoing — we know about it and are trying to act preemptively, not allowing them to complete it," Voloshyn said.
However, he noted that on certain fronts, such as the Orikhiv direction, the Russian forces have resumed active combat operations. Over the past day, they carried out several assaults toward Novoandrivka and Kamianske.
