Russian forces are failing to cut off Ukrainian logistical routes to Pokrovsk.

This was stated by the spokesperson of the Operational Strategic Group of Forces Khortytsia, Viktor Trehubov, during a televised broadcast.

'They are unable to advance and effectively sever the Ukrainian supplies to the city from the west,' Trehubov reported.

According to him, as a result, the Russian forces are forced to actively regroup their forces, move additional units, and reorganize new waves of attacks on the same small patch of land west of Pokrovsk.

'Obviously, they need reinforcements, regrouping, and strengthening for this,' the spokesperson explained.

Trehubov added that the overall operational situation in the area of responsibility of the Operational Strategic Group of Forces Khortytsia remains tense, particularly on the Pokrovsk and Kupiansk fronts.

'On several fronts, the enemy is taking advantage of the frozen ground and water to move their forces to areas where it used to be problematic,' he noted.

Trehubov assured that the Defense Forces are providing an effective counterattack, including on those fronts which the Russian troops considers to be priorities. Among them is Pokrovsk, where the Russians have recently concentrated all their forces and efforts but are facing counterattacks by Ukrainian troops.

'The enemy has certain failures; at least their initial plan has clearly stalled,' the spokesperson concluded.
