The Russian fleet can no longer effectively influence the course of military operations in Ukraine.

This was stated by the spokesperson for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmitry Pletenchuk, during a telethon.

"More professionally, colleagues from intelligence can answer this question. I can note that, regardless of their level of readiness and the number of units, they cannot impact the military operations in our theater," Pletenchuk said.

He mentioned that the enemy could potentially redeploy some units through internal waters; however, they are unlikely to do so since they "cannot even manage the units remaining in the Black Sea, which is effectively paralyzed in the Azov-Black Sea region."

"Regarding other bodies of water, such as the Mediterranean, they also cannot reach here from there," he added.

Pletenchuk emphasized that the weakness of the Russian fleet is confirmed by the actual combat operations in Ukraine.

According to him, Russia considers itself a "powerful maritime state," yet it still technologically lags behind NATO countries.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, hostile ships were again spotted in the Black Sea this morning. As of 06:00 on October 14, there were two enemy ships in the Black Sea, armed with cruise missiles of the Kalibr type, with a total strike capability of up to eight missiles.

Meanwhile, there are no Russian vessels in the Azov Sea, as in previous days. However, two ships are recorded in the Mediterranean, both of which are missile carriers with a total strike capability of up to 12 Kalibr missiles.
