In Kherson, a series of drone attacks on the morning of June 23 resulted in injuries to three people in different parts of the city. Additionally, a man was severely wounded after picking up an unknown explosive device that detonated in his hands.
The Kherson City Military Administration (CMA) reported the incidents on Telegram. Around 6:40 a.m., Russian forces targeted the Dnipro district with a drone strike. A 48-year-old local man suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his head and left leg. He was promptly transported to a medical facility, where doctors describe his condition as serious and are providing urgent care.
Shortly before, at approximately 6:30 a.m., a 35-year-old man from Antonivka was hospitalized after sustaining a blast injury and shrapnel wounds when an explosive device was dropped by a Russian drone. His condition is currently considered moderate.
Later, around 7:00 a.m., a 60-year-old man in the Korabelnyi district was injured during a drone strike, suffering a concussion along with blast and shrapnel wounds to his leg. He sought medical assistance on his own.
The attacks also caused damage to critical infrastructure, with a gas pipeline in Kherson city sustaining hits from the Russian offensive.
Meanwhile, in the Chernihiv region, Russian forces launched a deadly strike using Lancet-type kamikaze drones on the outskirts of a village in the Snovsk community on the evening of June 22. Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that two people were killed and ten others wounded, including three children.
The injured were rushed to medical facilities, with two in serious condition transferred to the regional hospital and the others receiving ongoing medical supervision for moderate injuries.
These attacks underscore the ongoing threat to civilian populations and critical infrastructure in Ukraine’s regions as the conflict continues.
