Lenses from the Ukrainian company IronGlass were used in filming the sequel of Denis Villeneuve's "Dune."

Konstantin Harkaviy from IronGlass announced this on his Facebook page.

According to him, this isn't the first film to be shot using the company's lenses. However, the sandy landscapes of "Dune" served as a real testing ground for them. Development of the casing and mechanics began in 2021, and by early 2022, further prototypes were produced. Despite the full-scale invasion, the team continued working, with some on-site and others from trenches. Nevertheless, they managed to deliver the finished lenses on time.

"I'm pleased that among thousands of other options, the MKII from IronGlass was chosen, and they performed superbly without complaints about mechanics and optical quality. Even in challenging times in a country at war, we can produce a quality product of world-class standards and be involved in bright cinematic events," wrote Konstantin Harkaviy.
