Despite the full-scale war, Ukrainian doctors continue to enhance their professional skills and improve their knowledge. This is important to provide patients with high-quality and modern care. In February 2024, 132 healthcare workers, including 54 doctors from 26 medical institutions across different regions of Ukraine, participated in scientific events (conferences, congresses, assemblies, forums), educational events (internships, training, workshops, seminars), and exchanged experiences.

Ukrainian doctors underwent training in countries such as Germany, Austria, Poland, France, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and Israel. It is worth noting that such educational exchanges take place within the framework of international medical partnerships.

"Thanks to the international medical partnership program, Ukrainian doctors today have the opportunity to enhance their professionalism, knowledge, and skills to improve the quality of medical care in Ukraine. It is also important that our doctors not only learn but also teach. The experience of the pandemic and full-scale war has posed many challenges to our healthcare system. We have persevered and continue to work. We have much to share with our foreign colleagues. All this contributes to enhancing the resilience of the healthcare system at the global level. Direct cooperation between medical institutions allows for regular exchange of experience and prompt implementation of the best global practices. This contributes to the development of modern high-quality medicine in Ukraine," said Viktor Lyashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine.

It is worth noting that the international medical partnership project is implemented under the auspices of the Third Ladies and Gentlemen Summit. The summit launched the International Medical Partnership Program.

Initially, 25 Ukrainian hospitals received "twins" in various countries around the world for the exchange of experiences and best global practices. As of today, 34 memorandums of cooperation have been signed.

Recently, 10 more Ukrainian and 2 leading German hospitals agreed to medical partnership.
