During the night attack, a cruise missile Kalibr was indeed shot down by a mobile fire group. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ilya Yevlash, during the broadcast of the United News.
"During the night attack by the Russian Federation, a Kalibr missile was shot down by a mobile fire group. This is not the first time that our mobile fire groups have shown significant effective results in defending our skies. Sometimes they use MANPADS like the 'Stinger' or other models provided to us," said Yevlash.
Additionally, the spokesperson of the Air Force Command mentioned that during this attack, the Russians attempted to launch missiles and Shaheds both from the north and the south. The interval between Shaheds was 10 minutes.
Furthermore, Russian military forces try to utilize complex terrain features such as ravines and gullies to avoid our radar stations and detection of drones.
"This time we see that not all Shaheds managed to do this - most of them were hit by our air defense forces," added the spokesperson of the Air Force Command.
During the night, the defense forces of Ukraine destroyed two cruise missiles X-101/X-555, a cruise missile Kalibr, and 28 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type.
