Ekaterina Kozlova is in final list of qualifiers for Viking Open Nottingham


Ukrainian tennis player Ekaterina Kozlova, after an unsuccessful performance at the Rolland Garros competition in Paris, overcame the starting barrier of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Viking Open Nottingham tournament in Nottingham (Great Britain) with a prize fund of $ 235,238 thousand.

In the first round of the Nottingham tournament, Ukrainian Katerina Kozlova (WTA, 159) defeated Russian Anastasia Hasanova (WTA, 173) with a score of 1:6, 6:4, 6:4.

The match lasted 134 minutes, during which Kozlova filed once through. At the same time, Katerina made six double faults against her opponent’s four. Kozlova also converted seven out of twelve break points against Hasanova’s eight out of fourteen.

The ticket to the third round of the tournament Kozlova will play with the American Madison Brengle, seeded 13th.

Completing the final list of qualifiers for this year’s Viking Open Nottingham are Kateryna Kozlova, Coco Vandeweghe, Katie Volynets and Ankita Raina.
