Pechersk International School (PSI) in Kyiv has resumed its operations, welcoming students from the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Ukraine for the current academic year.

As the sole school in Ukraine authorized to offer all three International Baccalaureate (IB) programs – Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programme – PSI stands out. Additionally, students have access to the Ukrainian Ministry of Education-approved curriculum for external students.

Established in 1995, PSI caters to students aged 3 to 18. The IB Diploma opens doors for them to esteemed universities across Europe, the United States, Asia, and Australia. The school's primary goal is to provide students with an engaging, enriching, and dynamic educational experience, preparing them effectively for the rapidly changing modern world.

With a staff comprising both international (60%) and Ukrainian educators, PSI holds accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), ensuring high-quality standards in academic processes, including faculty profiles.

English serves as the primary language of instruction at PSI. Moreover, the school offers an academic English support program for students with varying language proficiency levels. Recognizing the importance of native languages in self-esteem development and cultural identity, PSI emphasizes the role of one's mother tongue as a fundamental component for successful second language acquisition, such as English or others. Consequently, apart from fostering an English-speaking environment, the school also offers Ukrainian, French, and Spanish language instruction.

"The majority of our teachers are proficient in two or three languages. At PSI, we prioritize the comfort and safety of individuals from diverse cultures and corners of the world," shares the school's team.
