Milrem Robotics has signed an agreement with Ukroboronprom for the joint development of next-generation multi-domain robotic defense systems. The agreement was signed during the First Defense Industry Forum (DFNC1) in Kyiv.

The strategic collaboration will begin with identifying Ukraine's needs and potential applications of robotic systems to enhance the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (ZSU), as reported by Military.

Following this, Ukrainian companies will integrate the battlefield experience gained into Milrem Robotics' current generation of robotic and autonomous systems. They will also work on developing new products for piloted and unpiloted systems. Ukrainian defense companies will be involved in integrating their weapon systems, electronic warfare, and demining equipment with Milrem's robots.

The possibility of localizing the production of Milrem Robotics' robotic platforms in Ukraine is currently under consideration. If an agreement is reached, Ukraine may commence manufacturing the versatile THeMIS robotic platforms locally.

They have several versions:

  1. Combat THeMIS: Equipped with a machine gun module for combat purposes.
  2. Combat Engineering: Adapted for mine detection and demining operations.
  3. Unmanned Logistic Vehicles (and their modifications) CASEVAC: Used for the evacuation of wounded personnel.

The Combat version can be utilized as an autonomous combat system capable of carrying a remotely controlled module with an automatic grenade launcher, machine gun, anti-tank guided missile (Javelin), or a 30mm automatic cannon.

Last year near Kyiv, the THeMIS was tested for the evacuation of the wounded.
