Such a "tribunal" will not have any force in the legal field of Ukraine, they note in ASZA.

The Association of Families of Azovstal Defenders appealed to the guarantors of the security of the military - the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN - regarding the preparation by the occupiers of a tribunal over the fighters of Azov.

The corresponding statement was published on the pages of the Association in social networks.

Close defenders of Azovstal, who are in captivity, noted that demonstration shows arranged by the occupiers with courts and tribunals "contradict generally recognized international laws on the treatment of prisoners of war."

"An "international" tribunal is impossible in a "republic" that has only been recognized as a state by such pseudo-states as South Abkhazia and Ossetia. A propaganda show is being prepared, and wherever it is - in Donetsk or Mariupol, it will not be recognized by anyone worldwide. The military personnel of Ukraine, who performed the duties determined by the state and the law on the territory of Ukraine, cannot be convicted by other states, especially by pseudo-states not recognized by anyone. Such a "tribunal" will not have any legal force in Ukraine," the organization stressed.

The Association appealed to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to all international organizations, in particular, the guarantors of the security of the defenders of Azovstal - the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN - with a request to condemn and prevent the holding of fake tribunals that threaten the fighters of the Azov regiment.

The Mariupol City Council announced that the enemy is installing cages for a demonstration "trial" in the city philharmonic society. Subsequently, the leader of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin, announced preparations for a demonstration trial.

The HUR said that the trial of Ukrainian prisoners of war, which Russian invaders in Mariupol are preparing, is aimed at intimidating Ukrainian society.

Recall that more than 2.5 thousand prisoners of war from Azovstal may be in captivity of the invaders.
