Ukrainian director, writer, and former political prisoner Oleg Sentsov, who is currently fighting on the front lines, shared that he is currently defending Chasiv Yar on the Bahmut direction. He announced this on Facebook.

A native of Crimea, Ukrainian director, writer, and activist, former Kremlin hostage, who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion, is currently stationed on the Bahmut direction. He is taking part in the defense of Chasiv Yar, which is currently being targeted by Russian forces.

"Holding Chasik (Chasiv Yar)," wrote Sentsov, along with a photo he posted. In the photo, the director is pictured against the backdrop of a destroyed residential high-rise building.

Oleg Sentsov took part in the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, during which he received his first concussion on July 8th. In September, during combat operations in the Zaporizhzhia region, the director suffered his second concussion.
