Finland's state export credit agency Finnvera has signed a financial guarantee agreement with the European Commission, enabling the mobilisation of up to €240 million in financing for Ukraine's reconstruction, according to a statement issued by Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The agreement between Finnvera and the European Commission creates new opportunities for Finnish companies to participate in Ukraine's recovery, particularly in sectors such as energy, digital infrastructure, logistics, the extraction and processing of critical raw materials, as well as the defence sector and dual-use goods," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said on its Telegram channel.
The ministry also reported on a meeting between Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, during which they discussed expanding projects under the Shelter Coalition.
"Our joint efforts are crucial to protecting Ukrainian lives, holding Russia accountable, and ensuring a secure and prosperous future for Ukraine and Europe," Sybiha said.
