President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
The Head of State thanked France for its full support.
The leaders discussed Russia’s terrorist escalation and Ukraine’s defense needs.
“New defense deliveries are now being prepared, and we expect a new package to arrive in Ukraine soon. We discussed its contents,” Volodymyr Zelensky noted.
They also discussed training for Ukrainian pilots on French Rafale aircraft in France, which will begin in the near future. According to the Head of State, this is a strong step for Ukraine’s combat aviation.
Particular attention was paid to the work of the Ukrainian and French teams on localizing the production of French missiles and aerial bombs in Ukraine. The leaders also discussed work on the FREYJA anti-ballistic program.
“We are actively preparing the FREYJA system. We discussed where we could move faster and agreed to discuss everything in greater detail during our meeting. Thank you, Emmanuel!” Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.
