France to provide Ukraine with an additional €200 million to support reconstruction and integration projects with the European market

This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on Facebook.

The agreement was reached during his meeting with the head of the French government, François Bayrou, in Paris.

According to Shmyhal, the French government also confirmed the provision of guarantees in the form of export credit insurance totaling €1.5 billion.

During the meeting, the heads of government agreed to hold a joint session and also discussed trade issues.

“We are preparing important agreements on cooperation in the defense-industrial complex, critical raw materials, and strategic industries. We are interested in developing our defense partnership and creating joint ventures,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

He stated that France remains a reliable strategic partner for Ukraine. In particular, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale war, it has provided €2 billion in direct budgetary assistance alone, as well as significant humanitarian, energy, and military support, including air defense systems, missile systems, artillery, and armored vehicles.

Shmyhal personally thanked Bayrou for this significant contribution, as well as for supporting French companies that seek to invest in Ukraine.
