If the current military actions in Ukraine are "frozen" now, Russia may use this pause to prepare for a more severe attack, including on NATO member countries.
This warning comes from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, in an article for Foreign Affairs.
"If the front line were frozen now, there is no reason to believe that Russia would not use such a respite to plan a more severe attack in a few years, potentially involving not only Ukraine but also neighboring countries and even NATO members," noted Kuleba.
To those who doubt that Russia might attack NATO countries, the minister reminded them of the beginning of the full-scale invasion into Ukraine.
"For those who believe that Russia will not attack a NATO country after celebrating success in Ukraine, it is worth remembering how unimaginable the massive invasion into Ukraine seemed just two years ago," added the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
