In the first half of 2024, Ukrainian transport enterprises transported 178.8 million tons of cargo, an increase of 18.6% compared to the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Service.
The freight turnover during this period rose by 19%, reaching 94.3 billion ton-kilometers.
The number of transported passengers totaled 1.077 billion, reflecting a growth of 13.5% compared to the previous year.
Passenger turnover in the first half of the year increased by 13.5%, reaching 20.9 billion passenger-kilometers.
