The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine is constantly working to ensure that Ukrainian children can read more in their native language. After all, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians left their homes due to Russian aggression and were forced to go abroad with their children.

“It is important for children to feel connected with home, to remember their origins, to learn Ukrainian, to read in their native language. Among other things, so that the boundaries of national identity are not erased in children. To this end, we have launched many book projects to ensure that every child has the opportunity to read a Ukrainian book. Wherever she was. I would like to thank all the partner countries that have supported these projects. With your help, Ukrainian books find their young readers far beyond their home. And at this rate, Ukrainian children's books can flood the world,"said Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.

Among the book projects:

"For Ukrainian children - a Ukrainian book!"

The charity event was launched by the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and the Office of the President of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy. Domestic publishers joined the project from all regions of Ukraine, who provided 1 million copies of textbooks, manuals, and fiction to children free of charge.

In total, more than 150,000 copies of books have already been distributed to children in Ukrainian cities, as well as to Ukrainian embassies in Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Romania, where displaced persons now live. The issue of setting up logistics hubs in Warsaw and other European capitals, from where books will be sent to other European cities, is currently being addressed.

"The Ukrainian Book Shelf"

Initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ICIP, and the Ukrainian Book Institute, is expanding. Thus, the Ukrainian bookshelf was opened in the National Library of Greece and the National Library of Latvia. Ukrainian books have also become available in Paris, particularly in Parisian schools and in Austria.

"Books without borders"

The project is implemented by the Ukrainian Book Institute under the patronage of First Lady Olena Zelenska and jointly with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Thanks to him, Ukrainian books are distributed in Germany, Latvia, Lithuania and Bulgaria, Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Poland and Ireland. More than 70,000 books were published as part of the initiative.
