Russian troops are transferring additional reserves to the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration, according to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

He noted that he visited the military command bodies conducting operations in this area.

"The situation remains difficult. The enemy is trying to increase pressure on our defensive positions, moving additional reserves here," Syrskyi emphasized.

Based on reports, he clarified tasks for the commanders of army corps and units holding lines in the Pokrovsk direction.

Syrskyi outlined specific measures to strengthen defense, including maintaining stable operation of key logistics routes, improving fire effectiveness, enhancing coordination between units, and ensuring troops have all necessary supplies.

"We remain committed to the tactics of active defense. This involves improving operational positions, conducting local operations to push the enemy from certain areas, and creating conditions for future maneuvers of our forces," he said.

He also stressed that Ukrainian soldiers and commanders are aware of their responsibilities and perform their tasks with honor.
