Germany will continue to support Ukraine, and this support will not be influenced by the outcome of the U.S. elections. Berlin also assured that it will provide everything necessary to Kyiv, even if the G7 countries do not deliver the planned billion-dollar aid by the end of the year

This was stated in an interview with German Minister of Economics and Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck for Berliner Morgenpost.

He mentioned that if Donald Trump becomes U.S. President and refuses to provide aid to Ukraine, Germany "will not leave Ukraine alone." According to him, if such a result occurs in the U.S. presidential elections, other partners will "have to work even harder."

"It would be extremely dangerous if Ukraine lost this war. Then the freedom of Europe would be at risk. Therefore, we have a vested interest in Ukraine resisting Russian aggression," said the Vice Chancellor.

He also stated that the G7 countries are expected to provide the planned billion-dollar aid to Ukraine by the end of 2024. According to the interview, Ukraine will receive $50 billion, with an additional $4 billion available from the federal budget for the next year.

If this does not happen, the German Vice Chancellor emphasized that Germany will continue to assist Ukraine "without any 'ifs' or 'buts'." He explained that in such a case, support will need to be "provided differently."
