State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs of Germany, Jochen Flasbarth, announced during his visit to Ukraine on Friday that Germany will allocate an additional 200 million euros for the reconstruction of Ukraine. This was reported by DPA.

According to Flasbarth, who is responsible for coordinating efforts for Ukraine's reconstruction within the Federal Government of Germany, these funds will be directed towards education, healthcare, clean drinking water, and the rebuilding of infrastructure.

While in Kyiv, Flasbarth also emphasized the importance of supporting key sectors of Ukraine's economy, such as agriculture, stating that "people need prospects and job opportunities."

Taking into account this amount, the Ministry for Reconstruction of Germany will allocate approximately one billion euros in total to support Ukraine's civilian population since the beginning of the full-scale Russian aggression in February 2022.

In April, Flasbarth visited Ukraine and announced the allocation of 111 million euros for reconstruction needs.
