Germany will provide Ukraine with nine Boxer RCT30 infantry fighting vehicles as part of its new military aid package.
This information was reported on the official website of the German government.
These vehicles are equipped with a 30-mm cannon capable of using programmable munitions and will be used as mobile fire control centers, likely for drone destruction.
The aid package also includes 600 HF-1 loitering munitions, 46 RQ-35 Heidrun drones, 43 Songbird drones, and 50 Vector drones. Additionally, around 11,000 120-mm mortar shells and 33,000 artillery shells, including 19,000 122-mm and 14,000 155-mm rounds, will be provided.
Along with the Boxer RCT30, the package includes five additional Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles, 20 mine-resistant FFG vehicles, and spare parts for Leopard 1A5 tanks currently in service with Ukraine's defense forces.
The package also includes 495 HK416 assault rifles, 65 field binoculars, 24,200 woolen blankets, 120,000 chest occlusion stickers, and 30,000 tourniquets.
This update on Germany's military aid to Ukraine follows the unexpected visit of German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius to Ukraine on January 14, 2025.
