Russian forces launched multiple assaults across several Ukrainian regions on June 7, killing at least three civilians and damaging critical infrastructure, residential buildings, and industrial facilities. The attacks targeted the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and Sumy regions, with extensive use of artillery, missiles, drones, and guided aerial bombs.
Dnipropetrovsk Region: 1 killed, infrastructure damaged
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops targeted communities in the Nikopol and Synelnykove districts. According to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the Nikopol district came under fire from Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), heavy artillery, and FPV drones. Damage was reported to infrastructure sites, an industrial enterprise, four private homes, several outbuildings, and two power lines. Fortunately, no civilian injuries were reported there.
Later in the evening, the Mezhova community in the Synelnykove district was hit by three guided aerial bombs, resulting in the death of one man.
Lysak also reported that in Pavlohrad, a 29-year-old man sought medical attention after the large-scale Russian attack on the night of June 7. A 16-year-old boy was also wounded and is receiving medical care.
Kherson Region: 1 killed, 9 injured
Russian attacks on the Kherson region over the past 24 hours left one person dead and nine injured, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the regional military administration. A long list of towns and villages—ranging from Sadove and Zymivnyk to Mykhailivka and Osokorivka—were subjected to drone strikes, artillery shelling, and airstrikes.
Civilian areas, including residential neighborhoods and infrastructure, were hit. The attacks damaged three apartment buildings, nine private houses, a gas pipeline, and several vehicles.
Zaporizhzhia Region: over 550 strikes in a day
Russian forces carried out an intense bombardment of the Zaporizhzhia region, launching 555 attacks on 16 settlements in the past day. Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, confirmed one missile strike on Hryhorivske and six airstrikes on Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.
FPV drones were heavily used, with 320 drone strikes reported across multiple communities, including Bilenke, Huliaipole, and Novodarivka. Ten MLRS attacks and 218 artillery strikes hit various settlements, causing damage to homes, apartments, and infrastructure.
Sumy Region: 27 settlements targeted
In the Sumy region, Russian forces shelled 27 settlements across 12 communities between the morning of June 7 and June 8. The Sumy and Shostka districts faced the brunt of the attacks, which involved guided aerial bombs, MLRS, VOG grenades dropped from drones, and FPV drone strikes.
The Hlukhiv and Mykolaiv communities suffered damage to civilian infrastructure. Authorities evacuated 24 people from the border areas in coordination with emergency services and NGOs.
Mykolaiv Region
In the Mykolaiv region, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 11 Shahed-131/136 drones during the night of June 8.
On June 7, Russian forces launched nine FPV drone attacks on the Kutsurub community. In the village of Dniprovske, a private house was damaged, and in the village of Dmytrivka, a vehicle was hit. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Ochakiv community was also targeted: Russian drones struck the coastal area and the water zone three times, and a mortar attack occurred at 16:12. No casualties were reported.
Early on June 8, around 4:30 and again at 5:31, Russian forces launched two cruise missiles and Shahed drones at the Kostiantynivka community. Agricultural storage facilities and equipment were damaged, and a fire broke out. At the time of writing, no injuries have been reported.
