On February 14, Minister for Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin, Presidential Advisor on Strategic Affairs Oleksandr Kamyshyn, and Helsing GmbH CEO and co-founder Gundbert Scherf formalized agreements to expand cooperation in integrating artificial intelligence technologies into Ukrainian developments.

As a reminder, on February 24, the Ministry of Strategic Industries and Helsing signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the security and defense sector. The memorandum aimed to strengthen Ukrainian defense technologies by introducing artificial intelligence into drones, particularly domestically produced UAVs.

"Ukraine is fighting for all of Europe. A year ago, Helsing responded to the call for the development of strike drones resistant to electronic warfare by signing a Memorandum of Understanding to develop new precision mass-strike systems.

Today, having fulfilled that commitment, we are moving forward and announcing the next phase of support alongside Minister Herman Smetanin and Presidential Advisor Oleksandr Kamyshyn.

"We are proud of our partnership, developing the HX-2 and now scaling it to the level needed to defeat Russia’s growing aggression. Together, for a strong Europe," said Helsing GmbH’s Gundbert Scherf.

The company has expressed its intention to continue and deepen cooperation with Ukrainian defense tech, particularly in scaling up production.

"I thank Helsing for its effectiveness, rapid launch, and courage in working in Ukraine. Technology is changing the rules of war, and I appreciate your efforts in accelerating this process. This is crucial not only for Ukraine’s defense industry but also for the development of military technologies worldwide," said Herman Smetanin.
