Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sharply criticized the U.S. peace plan for Ukraine, calling it a betrayal of peace and freedom, and compared Trump to Neville Chamberlain.
“With his ultimatum that Ukraine surrender to Russia, Trump finally wins a prize: The Neville Chamberlain award for betraying peace, freedom, and justice,” she wrote on X.
British Prime Minister Chamberlain signed the 1938 Munich Agreement with Adolf Hitler, yielding to Nazi Germany’s demands regarding Czechoslovakia.
Chamberlain is now remembered as a symbol of the failed policy of appeasing an aggressor, which did not stop, but rather accelerated, the start of World War II.
