Ukrainian company HIMERA has presented a new relay for radios with pseudorandom frequency hopping.

The company reported that many units are already actively using the B1 in operations.

“On the northern front, a network of over 20 km was built using the relays, providing stable communication to units in remote positions. One unit was able to cover 80% of a regional center in Ukraine using five B1 devices,” HIMERA stated.

The company noted that the purpose of the HIMERA B1 is to expand the coverage area of mesh/MANET networks and ensure communication stability.

The relay features a symmetric AES-256 block encryption algorithm and pseudorandom frequency hopping, which complicates interception, detection, and jamming of traffic by electronic warfare systems. The device is designed for 14 days of autonomous operation.
