New entrance doors have been installed on Sofiivska Street in Odessa at the Skarzhynskyi House.
They were recreated based on the drawing of one of the residents, according to the restorers of the 'Thousands of Doors of Odesa' project.
The wooden panels were remade, inspired by 19th-century designs. The original transom was preserved and restored. A new door frame was made to fit the existing opening.
An electronic lock was installed in the door. Brass plates were added to protect the thresholds from scratches, particularly from pets. The authentic hardware, including handles and bolts, was also preserved.
