Demining of routes for a humanitarian mission has been completed in the Russian-controlled town of Oleshky in the Kherson region. A convoy carrying humanitarian aid for local residents has been assembled and is ready to depart.

This was reported on Telegram by Ukraine's Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets.

According to the Ombudsman, the humanitarian convoy is expected to arrive at Oleshky Central Hospital, where assistance to the civilian population will be organised.

Residents wishing to leave the Russian-controlled town have been promised the opportunity to evacuate by 14:00, with the necessary security measures in place.

Lubinets stated that delegations from Ukraine, Russia and the United States had gathered to coordinate further steps. Journalists from all three countries are also attending the meeting.

The mission is being carried out jointly with Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova, with the mediation and coordination of US First Lady Melania Trump.
