Iceland will double its military aid to Ukraine in 2025, including investments in "Danish model" projects for demining and brigade outfitting.
This was announced by Iceland’s Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir at a joint meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and foreign guests with the media.
“It’s crucial that we show our support through actions. We are a country without armed forces, but we have security, and we understand that Europe’s security is vital. That’s why we’re doubling our military aid to Ukraine,” said Jakobsdóttir.
She also noted that Iceland plans to contribute funds to Denmark’s investment initiative, demining projects with Lithuania, and support in outfitting Ukrainian brigades.
