Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Igor Zhovkva, held a meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden.

The main focus of the meeting was on the implementation of agreements following President Volodymyr Zelensky's recent visit to Sweden.

The situation in Ukraine and ways to restore its territorial integrity were discussed separately, taking into account the ongoing full-scale armed aggression by Russia against our state. In this context, the interlocutors focused on the security aspect of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden.

Igor Zhovkva expressed gratitude for the substantial comprehensive assistance to our country, particularly highlighting Sweden's leadership in the creation of the CV90 coalition, as well as the opportunity provided to Ukrainian pilots to test the Swedish JAS 39 Gripen fighters.

"We are thankful to Sweden for the 13 packages of defense assistance and the transfer of several dozens of CV90 infantry fighting vehicles, which have already proven their high effectiveness on the battlefield. We count on the expansion of their supply to the Ukrainian defense forces, as well as the initiation of joint production of these vehicles in accordance with the recently signed Joint Statement of Intent by the leaders of the two countries regarding enhanced cooperation on the CV90 platform," emphasized the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.

Furthermore, the parties discussed the practical implementation of the Formula of Peace proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky. Diplomats extensively deliberated on the Ukrainian side's vision for implementing each point of the Formula, as well as the role of Sweden in this process.

"We appreciate Sweden's active engagement in developing principles for the practical implementation of each of the 10 points of the Ukrainian Formula of Peace, both at the level of ambassadors and at the level of leaders' advisors in matters of national security and political advisors. Currently, more than 70 countries around the world share the Ukrainian philosophy of the Formula of Peace. We count on Sweden's participation in the inaugural Global Summit on the Implementation of the Ukrainian Formula of Peace," noted Igor Zhovkva.

The interlocutors also discussed the concept of providing security guarantees to Ukraine by Sweden until the moment of our state's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance. In this context, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office thanked Sweden for joining the Joint Declaration of the G7 leaders in support of Ukraine (security guarantees) and expressed hope for its active involvement in the reconstruction of our country.
