Every tenth new individual entrepreneur in Poland in 2023 was Ukrainian. Last year, Ukrainians opened 30,325 new companies there.

This information was reported to Ukrinform by the consulting center Diia.Business in Warsaw.

"According to the results of 2023, every tenth new individual entrepreneur in Poland was Ukrainian. Last year, Ukrainians opened 30,325 new individual companies there. In total, during 2022-2023, Ukrainians registered 48,464 individual entrepreneurs in Poland," the statement said.

As noted by Diia.Business, before the full-scale invasion, the average number of new business registrations by Ukrainians in Poland did not exceed 200 per month. After the start of the full-scale invasion, this number reached about 1,700 companies already in the spring of 2022. On average, according to the results of 2022, the number of new individual entrepreneurs registered by Ukrainian residents was 2,000. And in 2023, this indicator increased almost to 3,000 registrations per month.

Ukrainians more often start their own business in Warsaw (9,406 companies), Krakow (2,661), and Wroclaw (2,128).
