In January 2025, the volume of IT exports decreased by 22.2% and amounted to $499 million, according to the Lviv IT Cluster, citing data from the National Bank of Ukraine.

In comparison, in January 2024, IT exports were $521 million. This represents a decrease of 4.2% or $22 million over the month. In January 2023, it was $542 million.

"This January has shown the worst results since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. And, according to our forecasts, the situation will not improve this year. The challenges of the full-scale invasion continue to negatively affect the tech industry. If the war continues, all the risks associated with it will only deepen. At the same time, the IT sector remains one of Ukraine’s largest service exporters and contributes significantly to foreign currency inflows into the economy," said Stepan Veselovskyi, CEO of the Lviv IT Cluster.

The total export revenue of all Ukrainian services in January this year was $1.21 billion, which is $423 million or 25.8% less compared to December 2024. The share of computer services in the total service export structure in January 2025 was 41.1%. This is 3.4% more than in January of the previous year, when it was 37.7%. It is also 1.9% higher compared to December 2024.
