In Kyiv, the number of people injured in the combined Russian attack has exceeded 70. Nine people were killed in the capital due to the overnight massive shelling.
This was reported by Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko on Telegram.
The minister noted that Kyiv suffered the most from the enemy’s large-scale combined attack. Rescuers were working at 13 locations.
“The most tragic consequences are in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Debris removal from a destroyed building is still underway. Engineering units, State Emergency Service climbers, and search dogs are involved. Phone calls can still be heard from under the rubble — the search will continue until we are sure everyone has been found,” Klymenko stated.
According to him, there is information about two children who are still missing at the scene.
As of 7:30 a.m., nine people had died in Kyiv due to the Russian attack. More than 70 others sustained various injuries.
On the night of April 24, Russian forces launched a combined strike on Ukraine — firing several waves of missiles and deploying drones. Kyiv was among the targets. The Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian capital with both missiles and UAVs.
It was reported that emergency crews responded to the aftermath of the night attack in five districts of Kyiv.
Residential buildings were damaged, and search operations for people trapped under the rubble are ongoing.
