The average prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages in Ukraine in December 2024 compared to December of the previous year increased by 15.2%. All products became more expensive.
This was reported by the State Statistics Service (Derzhstat).
According to the statistical agency, the biggest price increases over the past year were for butter, which rose by 32.2%, sunflower oil by 31.1%, and vegetables by 29.4%.
Bread became 20.6% more expensive, milk by 18.3%, cheese and soft cheese by 17.9%, and bakery products by 17.0%.
The prices for non-alcoholic beverages increased by 15.6%, fruits by 14.1%, eggs by 13.2%, fish and fish products by 13.1%, pasta by 12.4%, and pasta products by 11.2%. Meat and meat products became 6.8% more expensive, sugar by 4.3%, and eggs by 1.8%.
