Antonio Omar Dridi, an Italian volunteer fighting for Ukraine, has been killed in action, according to Italian news agency ANSA, citing a post by Memorial – International Volunteers for Ukraine.
“Our Italian brother Antonio Omar Dridi, who served in Ukraine as a volunteer, was killed on the battlefield,” the post reads.
Dridi had been reported missing since March.
He is the fifth Italian citizen confirmed to have died while fighting in Ukraine during Russia’s full-scale invasion.
