Odesa Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Kiper has announced the results of a working meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, during which Italy reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the region’s recovery and development.
According to Kiper, the discussion focused on a number of priority projects for Odessa region. These include the restoration of irrigation systems, the preservation and reconstruction of architectural monuments, and the construction of a new medical building for the Odesa Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital.
Ambassador Formosa also raised the issue of continued support, including expanding irrigation restoration efforts and the possibility of additional funding for equipment for the new pediatric hospital facility.
“Italy is a reliable friend of Ukraine,” the ambassador stressed, underscoring Rome’s intention to maintain long-term cooperation with Odessa region.
Kiper expressed gratitude for Italy’s patronage over Odessa and its concrete steps to help the region recover.
