Explosions were heard in Kharkiv today during an air raid alert on April 5. The city is under aerial bombardment by Russian forces.
This was reported by the Mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synyehubov.
The explosions in the regional center were heard around 15:27. The city administration confirmed the reports of explosions and urged Kharkiv residents to be cautious.
Later, Terekhov specified that, according to preliminary information, Russian occupiers dropped guided aerial bombs across the city. There is currently no information about casualties, injuries, or possible damage.
"Kharkiv was reportedly attacked with guided aerial bombs. Details about casualties and damage are being clarified," the mayor wrote on his Telegram channel.
The Regional Military Administration added that Russian forces struck the city of Kharkiv and the settlement in the Kharkiv region.
"Reportedly, strikes were carried out with guided aerial bombs. Details are being established. At the moment, there is no information about casualties," said the head of the administration.
