Kharkiv has completed preparations for implementing a modern alert system. As part of the preparations, specialists have reduced the time to detect the location of shelling by 10 times.
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov during a telethon broadcast.
According to the mayor, today, February 7, Kharkiv is fully prepared to implement a new differentiated warning system against threats from Russian forces.
Terekhov explained that as part of the preparations, city specialists have set up a highly efficient threat monitoring system and reduced the time required to detect the location of shelling.
"The time to detect the location of shelling has been reduced from three minutes to 15–25 seconds. This saves lives. Additionally, we have provided all services with radio communication, and we have the most advanced video surveillance systems," noted the mayor.
The mayor also pointed out that all city services are equipped with radio communication, and modern video surveillance systems have been installed to enable a rapid response to emergencies.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Kharkiv region and Kharkiv have been subjected to daily attacks by Russian forces.
In this regard, a decision was made earlier today that the new air raid warning system in Kharkiv and Kharkiv region will operate separately.
