The 'Kyiv Digital' team shared a digest of digital services presented at Web Summit and Smart City Expo World Congress, announced Petro Olenych, the head of digital transformation in Kyiv and deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA).

"We continue to implement modern solutions wherever users need them – especially where speed, convenience, and security are crucial," said Olenych, quoted by the KCSA press service on the official website on Tuesday.

The digest highlights a range of services introduced in Kyiv.

In particular, the digital transport card allows users to pay for travel with a bank card, taking into account discounts and convenient ticket tariffs. Additionally, with the support of Visa, Apple Pay Express has been launched in Kyiv. "Thanks to this, there is no need to go through Face ID authentication or open applications to pay for travel. You can pay for travel with this service even if your iPhone has 0% battery charge," the press service reports.

In addition, the capital of Ukraine has begun comprehensive digitization of sports infrastructure. Moreover, the digest reports on the results of implementing air quality monitoring through the city application. 'Residents can check the air quality around the selected point through Kyiv Digital. Also, this year, radiation level monitoring has been added to the service,' notes the KCSA press service.

"The safety of the capital and its residents is one of the main priorities of the local authorities. The 'Safe City' system helps emergency services and utility workers respond promptly to various events that threaten the lives and health of Kyiv residents," informs the press service about another digital service operating in Kyiv.

Additionally, as reported, 'Kyiv Digital' has initiated the digitization process of the 'Defender's Electronic Cabinet' service. This will introduce electronic document circulation between military institutions and allow Defenders to interact with municipal authorities without additional registrations.

Electronic appointment scheduling for Customer Service Centers (ЦНАП) is another significant step towards implementing a paperless culture in municipal institutions. It is possible to schedule appointments at 18 Customer Service Centers in Kyiv and access 59 different administrative services available for online scheduling.

"A separate section is dedicated to e-democracy tools, namely: open voting for the public budget, signing petitions, and active participation in surveys, allowing society to directly participate in city management and improvement. Kyiv serves as an indicator for the entire Ukraine, and voting and petitions are key to the success of e-democracy development," emphasized in the statement by the KCSA press service.
