The Ukrainian army is already demonstrating its uniqueness and ability to quickly learn, and adapt to new challenges, future relations with the Russian Federation will be very difficult. The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, said this in an interview with the Polish news portal Wirtualna Polska.

"What is happening is evidence of the uniqueness of the Ukrainian army. And seriously, it's very simple: we quickly adapt and improve old equipment. It's true; we often use an older type of technology but adapted to new tasks and challenges. Sometimes we do it better than its creators. We also learn new things quickly. This requires us to prove ourselves daily on the battlefield, in real combat," said Kyrylo Budanov.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine compares the future victory of Ukraine with the defeat of the Spanish Invincible Armada, urging not to treat the war as a static process.

"First of all, we must free ourselves from thinking about war as something static, 'frozen' or permanent. This is a mistake. In my opinion, it is a living substance. Our enemy, we see, changes, and adapts to the situation… We, Ukrainians, helped the world dispel stories about the invincible Russian army. Let me return to history: during Queen Elizabeth I, the English defeated the Spanish fleet at sea, the Great and Invincible Armada. Just like David defeated Goliath," said Kyrylo Budanov.

The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also noted that an active analysis of the enemy, the state of his army, logistics, production cycles, problems and mental challenges of the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation makes it possible to predict his further actions.

"We see significant changes in the Russian state itself. Those that surfaced after a full-scale invasion, after the introduction of sanctions and after the return home of thousands of black bags with the bodies of Russians who died in Ukraine. All this works, because every day it gradually destroys Putin's regime, undermines it," said Major General Kyrylo Budanov.

As for future relations between Russia and Ukraine, the head of military intelligence of Ukraine predicts "a very difficult process"

"It is interesting that now in the Russian information space, primarily on the Internet, as well as among a part of the opposition, the opinion is beginning to be propagated that only the "Putin clique" should be blamed for this invasion. And society has nothing to do with it. However, we are at war with a country where more than two-thirds of the population supported Putin's actions! We do not know what the future of Russia will be like. Into how many parts will it fall apart and with whom will we have to talk about reparations and to bring those guilty of crimes to justice", - said the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence.

According to Kyrylo Budanov, the task of Ukraine is the systemic and state weakening of the Russian Federation, for which it is necessary to actively join the Euro-Atlantic and European structures: political, economic, security, legal, humanitarian and educational.

"And to forget about our post-Soviet period is like a terrible dream. Finally, we must have some form of control over the new post-war Russian Federation. So that what happened to Ukraine never happens again," concluded Ukraine's head of military intelligence.
