This is an AR filter featuring a Cossack, with whom users can take a selfie or listen to his stories about the Zaporizhian Sich, Palankas, winter camps, and the formation of Ukrainian identity. To use it, users need to open a link on telephone, select a topic, and choose the platform to activate the AR filter.
The AR filter is part of a larger project called "Open Platform for Learning, Communication, and Reflection on the Cossack Glory Boulevard."
The project’s goal is to promote self-identification, popularize history, and raise awareness of decolonization processes.
The initiative is being carried out by the Lviv-based studio Skeiron in collaboration with cultural representatives from the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
"Despite its proximity to the front lines, Pokrovsk continues to actively work on preserving and promoting its history, finding resilience within it," noted Skeiron studio representatives.
